Family-friendly golf resort with hand-crafted log cabins in rural Ceredigion
Accommodations
Penrhos Park offers hand-crafted log cabins made from locally sourced timber, a feature that sets the accommodation apart from standard holiday homes. Guests can choose from well-equipped lodges with private hot tubs, providing a base for family activities and relaxation. The park also provides hotel-style double or twin rooms with kitchenettes, free private parking, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Dining
The on-site restaurant serves local cuisine with a diverse menu that includes full English/Irish, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free breakfast options. Dinner and lunch menus feature dishes such as pan-fried hake fillet with crushed jersey royal potatoes and sapphire spinach. The bar and restaurant area has been recently renovated and offers a coffee house on site and special diet menus.
Recreation and Wellness
The park has an on-site championship golf course and a floodlit driving range equipped with the latest TrackMan technology for golfers. Wellness amenities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, solarium, and a fitness centre with spa lockers. A jacuzzi is available in the pool area, though it requires a £1 coin for use.
Family and Children
Children are catered for with an indoor play area, kids' outdoor play equipment, and a dedicated kids' pool. The park provides a children's playground, a games room with a pool table, and open-air tennis courts and a football pitch. The park also offers live sport events and family rooms that include kitchenettes and full-size fridges.
Location and Grounds
Penrhos Park is located 17 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club and 15 km from Aberystwyth Castle, with proximity to Cardigan Bay and hiking trails. The park is near the National Trust beach at Mwnt and the Cardigan Island Nature Reserve for wildlife viewing, including red kites.
